Training Closures

Please note that on Tuesday’s reception at both surgeries is closed from 12:30 – 13:30 for staff training.

Occasionally our surgeries may be required to close for a full afternoon to allow our doctors, nurses and staff to attend mandatory training provided by the North East & North Cumbria Integrated Care Board, our local ICB. Advance notice of these closures will be given by notices on this website, posters in the surgeries and posts on our social media pages.

Seven Day Extended Access - Evening and Weekend Appointments

Hartlepool & Stockton Health (H&SH) offer access in the evening and on weekends on behalf of this Practice. Appointments are available to see a GP, Nurse or Healthcare Assistant at several practices across Stockton and Hartlepool. Please speak to our reception team for further information.

Patients attending appointments at H&SH will be asked if they are happy for NHS staff at the other surgeries to have access to their electronic medical record.

To request an evening or weekend appointment, let our team know your preference when making an appointment.

What To Do When We Are Closed

When the surgery is closed you should contact NHS 111. During this period of exceptionally high demand, please use the NHS111online service (see below) where possible.

Our patients can also access our eConsult service here. The service allows patients to complete an online consultation with a GP for non-urgent matters. It also provides advice and guidance on other care options.

NHS 111

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally.

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
