Important Update: How We Contact You
Important Update: How We Contact You
To help us communicate more efficiently and provide timely updates about your healthcare, TBMG will now use a combination on email and SMS (text messaging) as a standard method of communications where we hold a valid mobile telephone number and/or email address for you.
This means that, unless you tell us otherwise, from Monday 3rd August 2026, we will assume consent for these communications and we may send messages relating to:
- Appointment reminders and cancellations
- Invitations for reviews, screenings and vaccinations
- Health campaigns and service updates
- Administrative information about your care
- Links to questionnaires or online services
We will assume that you are happy to receive these messages unless you choose to opt out.
Your Choice
If you do not wish to receive SMS messages from the practice, please let us know by either contacting our reception team or submitting a request via our website or written correspondence.
Please note that opting out of SMS communications may mean you miss important information about appointments, services or aspects of your care.
Privacy and Confidentiality
We will only use your contact details in accordance with UK data protection legislation and NHS guidance. Messages will be sent securely and will be limited to information necessary for the management of your healthcare and our services.
If your email address or mobile number changes, please inform the practice promptly so we can keep your records up to date.
